Re: Durango Smoke NOT a Problem, but Preferred

October 11, 2005 11:04PM
F.Y.I. -
I'll be getting out of prison (retiring) on Bastille Day next summer (July 14, 2006), and am considering Durango as one of a very few places that I might relocate to* if I find that Ventura is not affordable. I enjoy the sweet tang of coal smoke a LOT more than second-hand cigarette smoke, and will gladly negotiate with one or more of the @#$%& idiots - or an agent thereof - for the purchase of one of their smoke-infested, low-value, low-tax homes.
I'm interested in a large two-bedroom or small three-bedroom home on the north side of town, the closer to the railroad - and the more frequent the trains and louder the whistles - the better. (I'll celebrate - not complain about - evening trains and moonlight specials. The mixed freight with "#472" was a hoot [no pun intended].)
Realtors: Please do NOT call, but write to me at
6250 Telegraph Road, #606
Ventura, CA 93003-4305
Non-returnable photos appreciated.
Death to @#$%&!! Long Live the Narrow Gauge!!!

* or 'to which I might relocate', for you grammar nazis ... <img class=" />
p.s. "Don't Californicate Colorado" does not apply - I'm a native of Connecticutt, graduate of Colorado College, and was the first bearded semi-hippie invited to join the Elks Club in Telluride (1972).
