What about the old rummers in Ely, Nevada in the 1960's about a ten wheeler that was storded in an old mine, while the authorities from KCC would check on their mine operations, then moved down to the shops in the light of night. Just because there was one guy who was a true lover of the steam era operations. This really happened. Because of a little rummer and a lot of dreams we now have the oportunity to visit the Nevada Northern. With the enjoyment of seeing a Ghost from the Past. Thanks goes out to all the Dreamers, especially the Old Engineers that are good at hidding rummers for ten years or so, then to the people like you and me who love history and steel on steel, the smell of burning coal, the sound of a strange whistle steaming out of a canyon, the jolt of every joint felt by each wheel as it passes through time. We can as a group make a difference and bring the Past to life. Wow, what an awesome responsability. I just want to thank the Friends of the C&TS for their time that they put in to help slow down deteriation of structures and rollin stock, and the Rail Road in General. The World needs more People like YOU. The Real Uncle Sam Would Be Proud.
