As it would happen the factory tender is half buried in the Skaguay River below Gold Rush Cemetery, serving as rip-rap as it has been since the late 40'sish. The trucks presently under the current tender were recycled from a flat car built under U.S. Navy contract during WWII for use on the OR&L in Hawaii. The flat cars were bought buy the White Pass for frieght service in the 50's.
The project was started January 2003 in North Lake, WI with final assembly taking place following the locomotive's arrival to Skaguay.
