MacGregor's book implies that the SPC ferried ng. cars to SF....see the quote posted above. But I could not find anything more specific in a quick perusal of his book.
Since the NWP(NPC) ng. connection through to Sausalito ended in 1920 when they standard gauged to Point Reyes Station, it would be interesting to figure out when the last NPC/NWP ng. car was ferried to San Francisco.
