Its right on highway 285 a little South of Alamosa toward Antonito. Bob Richardson and this Heflin character started the Narrow Gauge Motel there and for years it was quite an attraction for railfans who flocked to see the operation.
Many of Richardson's pictures were taken as trains went by right across the highway from the Motel. It was here that RGS #20, #346, and #318 first called home before Bob moved everything up to Golden, where he started the Colorado RR Museum and the Iron Horse Motel.
I don't know if the sign is still there or not. If you know what you are looking for it would be pretty easy to find, but if the sign is gone, you might miss it as it is pretty nondescript.
