Been doing some research on one of the more obscure Calif NGs, the Patterson and Western.
Anyone know if there is a map showing where the line ran on-line, or anyone out there know where the ROW is in relation to modern landmarks?
I am told that there is a surviving P&W station in Patterson. Their roster seems to have been 2 shays and something else. I think they're probably tied with the Monterey and Salinas Valley for shortest life of an NG in California: 1916-1920.
Any other info out there?
