Jerry(OilCzar): thanks for bringing Taylor and I back to reallity. One thought to consider on encouraging widespread public participation with work trains is the unpredictability factor. IMHA a work train is not likely to be the well polished, everything goes according to schedule operation like a passenger train. There are likely to be those little problems such as the broken brakeshoe we discovered and the diffuculty with one of the retainers with a mud dauber nest in it. There is some possibillity for negative publicity in these kind of operations if "say it isn't so" we don't always have our ducks in a row. On the other hand if people want to come pay money on our RR or anyone elses to ride and photograph or video work train operations we can surely oblige and if nescessary spend the time needed to polish the operation.
