Surprised they let it go

While it is a hokey movie prop, it could have interpretive value to the D&S, as a gazillion people have seen that film. I'll bet if it were parked in Durango with appropriate signage, visitors would find it interesting, with many probably not knowing the narrow gauge was used in the production.
The folks in Jamestown have kept many of their movie props, and even re-enact famous movie scenes occasionally, with lookalike actors. Who knows, maybe Newman and Redford might even drop in..
