Steven Haworth on the RGS group suggested I post this question here. He said I might get an answer from 'PRSL', whom he knows to be an expert on the subject.
What class of Shay was RGS #34?
Steven has a picture on his site of a 'similar' engine ('similar' meaning it is a Shay?, or 'similar' meaning it is a picture of a Shay of the same class?). It is a Class 3, about 60 or 70 ton(??).
