All of my recent stuff has been shot with a Minolta S414, 4MP with 4X zoom lens. I have been very impressed with the quality of pictures from this camera considering it only cost me $199. I could have used a little more zoom on occasion but its not too bad. I also had a conventional camera along (Minolta) with lots more zoom. It will be interesting to compare my goose shots taken with it near Osier.
The only complaint I have with the digital is that it is slow under certain conditions. It does have a nice feature where you can rapid fire 12 shots in a row before it saves to flash. This is great for runbys. If you didn't use this mode the train would be long gone before you could take a second shot.
