Thank you both Steve and Charles for your responses.
It looks like I will now need to do some in-person research.
Steve, I will be looking closer at the Georgetown loop as a place to apply for work. One reason is that all of the fireing I have done over the years has been on oil burners. I have always wanted to try fireing with a coal burner but maybe one or two trips up Cumbres would cure me of that. Then again, maybe I would be hooked for life?
If I may ask, what would an entry level job at "the loop" look like and very roughly what might it pay??? The wife wants to know if we will be living on bread and water while I'm out "playing with the trains".
