If you go to
[maps.google.com] and type in "97 Cross Road Alna Maine" in the search box, you will be shown a slightly incorrect location for the WW&F Railway Museum. In the upper right corner of the page, there is a choice of "map" or "satellite." Select "satellite."
You will now see an aerial view. In the upper left corner of the page, there is a "zoom slider" and a set of directional arrows. All of the following instructions refer to the + sign on the zoom slider and the directional arrows in the upper left corner of the screen. Your results may vary, but here's what I get:
Click + on the zoom slider, then left arrow, then up arrow, then +. At this point, the WW&F engine house should be mid-screen.
Click up arrow on the screen and you will see "Davis Crossing" 1/3 up the screen and "Sutter's Crossing" (and power line) 2/3 up the screen.
Click up arrow again, and "Cockeye Curve" will be mid-screen.
Click up arrow again, and Humason Brook Trestle will be mid-screen.(You can't really see it, but you can see the pond that feeds Humason Brook.)
One more click of the up arrow, and the Alna Center Station will be a small white square mid-screen (near a small field). Near the top of the screen, you will see a larger field. Steve's picture is taken looking northward near the lower left corner of that large field. Beside the field and slightly north of there, you can see additional cleared roadbed awaiting the Fall Work Session (Columbus Day weekend).
