It's never good to rush something important! I don't care if it's a resoration or whether it's a repair of a leaky faucet one shouldn't rush the job! They have a steam engine. There are questions that still have to be answered about safety, carrying capacity, adequate clearance... these need to be addressed FIRST before shoving the engine out for passengers to ride behind just to say "See, we WERE telling the truth!"
Using the term "guinee pig" to describe passengers on those first trips is correct and just a bit scarey! I pray that everything goes well and the Loop has no troubles. If the steam engine isn't ready by May 28 then so be it. I would rather they not rush it and prove that safety is their #1 concern! Believe me, I would not hold it against them if that were the situation! 27 days and counting.....
