Dave, I think the grade down toward the hwy is all on private property. Hiking the Colorado mtn sides is a God givin right so who is to say that u crossed private property somewhere on your quest for the top. (LOL) Watch out for signs as that is mostly what u can go by.
A while back I wanted to hike some of the Mayday branch and asked the home owner if they would mind and said it was ok with them. Got to see how the loop tied together. My buddy tore his jeans on the barb wire was our cost for the day.
