The "Tahoe car " also served as a road side diner in its career. At that time the Tahoe was de trucked. When this car was in the G.L.R.R. shops for a major overhaul before going into service on the Loop, the aroma of hambergers was still in the car.
the current trucks under her are rebuilds from the White Pass.These trucks are larger than the originals but they look nice and are funtional. Last year it was in the shop for some minor work and a new paint job. Under the paint, she still has most of her original redwood siding.
The Tahoe car is a very special coach and is one of my favorite passenger cars from the G.L.R.R. Inc. It has been my privlage of pulling it in many of the trains I have run.
