I wonder how much good and/or damage you would do if you went up on the top of the hill where there are huge slides of rock. A little pushing/hauling, a little slipping, and there's tons of rock at the bottom of the hill.
Some of it is bound to stay on the roadbed! <img class=" />
Seriously though, there are huge bowls of loose granite upslope between the tunnels. It seems like a little work could make it available to a backhoe/loader on the roadbed.
