When I rode in August, tie replacement in that area was being done in stretches. Can't speak for exactly where other than on and of from Osier to Sublette. Ed made mention of a rail kink with 497. This shows the need for ballast to stabilize the roadbed and provide drainage. My hat is off to all of the crews and management for all of their hard work and the ability to keep the line operable for as long as they have, sounds like it's time for the ballast cars to be reworked and put in service.
