Jim, you left out the part where after "inspection", it was determined that neither #9 or #74 were going to be able to be restored.
They started working on a trade for #111, and then miraculously, all of a sudden both #9 and #74 WERE going to be restored and placed into service on the loop. #9 this June, #74 next year.
Why the CHS seems to insist on lying about the impossibility of this schedule, when anyone with even the most remedial understanding of the nature and scope of work that will be required to return these two engines to service is beyond my comprehension. It's all smoke and mirrors and I don't know why they think it's necessary.
Last week, Jason insisted that #9 will run under it's own power by the end of this year. Remains to be seen.
Last I heard, #9 is still being said by CHS to be in service by June, which is nothing but a lie. I'd like to know if buckets of money have begun to flow through the bank accounts of Uhrich in Strasburg. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to learn they haven't seen the first dime.
You will notice that not a soul is posting about all the great progress that is being made on these two old relics.
When we actually see some progress, and hear that money is flowing in abundant and ample supply to meet the needs, then it will be time to re-evaluate what I have just written.
Until then, it's all bullshit. Sorry, but there it is.
By the way, it's already April, in case no one has noticed.
