Jason Midyette, please correct or confirm:
CHS agreed to fund an inspection of the locomotive to determine its potential for operation on the Loop. If operation is deemed unfeasible ('unfeasible' as defined by ??? since CHS has bragged about spending over $1M to get a steam locomotive), the Society will pay for a cosmetic restoration and it will be returned to Boulder.
If the locomotive can be returned to operation, then it will be used on the Loop for ten years.
Presently, the timeline for CHS/Railstar steam on the Loop is RLR #12 first (it arrived in Plume on 3/25 in spite of what
www.georgetownlooprr.com says), C&S #9 in July of *this* year, #74 in 2006, and Breckenridge's #111 in 2007. Per the CHS, all work is to be done by Uhrich Locomotive Works.
Make sense?
