I don't think any of the handrail iron on any "San Juan/ Shavano" equipmet was brass.
The only possible exception I see in the Volume 4 pictorial was Parlor Car "Salida".
Some pictures show gloss paint reflecting liight toward the camera lens, but in every case I see, other iron visible on the same car is definitely not brass.
