Jeff, thanks, I knew I remembered Phil mentioning old Patterson's. That spotplate makes a world of difference in appearance for sure.
Of no relation to Kahuku, but I'm sure you'd know the answer to this debate elsewhere on the information superhighway...
The Star whistle you guys had on the 7 a ways back on loan from Swanton, wouldn't that be the same one Phil took out to Silver Plume and used on the 14 for awhile?
Someone mentioned the whistle was returned to Swanton after removed from the 7, and wound up out at the the GGRM on the SP 2467; and is now stored in a caboose or something up at Hunter's Point! I know a couple of PLA guys are hankering to get the 2467's whistle down to Brightside to mess around with on the little Quincy #2.
Just sparked some curiosity as I'd never heard that story before.
