I do 2 inspections each year on the Eureka. One is for the Nevada Boiler certificate and the other is the Form 3 annual inspection. There are a list of things to do for each. Inspectors pay particular attention to whether there is any crud inside the boiler after operation, and the condition of the sheets in the fire box and smoke box. They look very carefully at the crown sheet for any leaks, warpage or any sign of problems. Each inspector has his own things that seem of special interest to him. Sometimes they may want a hydro, other times visual inspections. It just sort of depends. In addition to what they look for I always keep an eye out for any discrepancy. So far, all has been great.
