You are obviously on a different planet. My observation was that I pay little attention to armchair generals who, in my experience, are very good at criticising but don't have any practical experience to back up their loud, uninformed, comments. I have never worked, professionally, for any railway but I do, however, have over 20 years experience in the voluntary running of a railway society and this includes rebuilding, running and maintaining steam locomotives and track so I think, justifiably, that I can claim some practical experience.
What writing books has to do with this is totally beyond me. I'm not an author but I can, and often do, write ISO compliant documents as part of my professional occupation with an international IT company. Is authorship of books on the NG necessary before I can pass comment about anyone or anything here? Or is it just because in your view someone from elsewhere should not be in a position to comment on your tactless postings? Most people forget that respect has to earned.........
Have a nice day.
