Ron: I'm glad to here that the old car shop is at least considered for future restoration efforts. I appreciate the scarcity of resources we have, but perhaps this old facility might be elgible for historic building preservation grants that we are not usually working with for our other capital projects. Does anyone know when the round house was torn down? I presume that this is when the car shop became a locomotive shed. Another question that comes to mind: what was the other red painted building adjacent to the old car shop used for? It appears to date back to the day when the RR was opeating.
I'm on the crew this weekend so presumably will miss out on the track laying, but perhaps some of the readers of this board would like to lend a hand. Hint hint hint!
