actually, McKim machine is/was located just behind and to the east of the REO bldg, next to the UP depot. picture driving off of 10th towards Jerry's, and when you make the curve on Washington, McKim s was located in the area to the south of that turn, where the former Powder River factory is located.
There was a machine shop by the tracks as well as Blue Mt. Foundary, but it wasn't McKim at that time. I know, I was surprised as well.
There are five photos in the collection, all showing really neat stuff, like boxcar 1670, that became 1401 in work service, being loaded at a dock. Next time your in the area, and have time, I can pull them up on my puter to show you.
Ron
Jim also has copies and he may make some copies. I just like looking at them on my 19 inch monitor....
