"...While the study has raised apprehension from Vail through Summit County down to Genesee, most of the criticism is from Idaho Springs, Georgetown, Silver Plume and the other places along I-70 in Clear Creek County.
For years, many community, civic and government leaders in this stretch where I-70 jams itself through narrow canyons and tight valleys have stood against highway widening. They fear a wider I-70 could claim too many homes and businesses and overwhelm communities with diverted traffic during the years of construction..."
