Marlin and Drop bottom gon rider cars

Darn, you know I can be a bit dense...I thought the whole drop bottom rider gon issue was promoted as a sort of lighthearted counter to all the darker stuff floating around about Railstar's proposed equipment. In other words, I thought it was supposed to be somewhat FUNNY - Now I find out from Jason's post that it was supposed to be a REAL issue and he had to defend the safety of the cars...Geez! Poor Jason...you guys better lay off...it sounds kinda like it was gettin' sorta personal.
NOW, as to Marlin...I keep hearing he feels that people have been saying bad things about him and his operation...OR implying that he is not up to the job of getting #9 and #30 up and running
...I have looked and looked for any references or inferences about the quality of his work and have only found good stuff...so who are these
people that would defame the man and his work? I know he felt his good name was being impinged because of the letter he wrote for the Timetable... just because the man is willing to take CHS money does not give anyone here or elsewhere the right to attack him...Jason is right to come to his defense if this is what is going on...If you have something bad to say about Marlin, do it to his face and not here AND someone point me to the posts or the letters or statements attacking him...I would like to see who is behind publically smearing a good man's name.
