There is one big obsticle between Albion and the WW&F Railway Museum about 60 miles away. The missing bridge at Whitefield. About 5 miles north of the museum, it would need all kinds of government approvals in this day and age.
The second thing of course is a whole lot of money. Rail and ties and hardware don't come cheap.
To the best of my knowledge the longest narrow gauge line re-built so far is the Sumpter Valley in Oregon and they have done about 5 miles.
But isn't it great to dream! While we are at it, how about a museum building, a turntable and a new boiler for the #9!
On a smaller note, the next volume of Railroading in the Sheepscot Valley is due out this month. Love those historic photographs!
