Slide to video transfer

November 04, 2004 01:21PM
I need some suggestions or devices to transfer slides to video tape. I don't want to tansfer them to the computer, but to video tape, either Betacam SP or Mini-DV. Jpegs are not an option.
And keeping on subject this is for some D&RGW slides taken by the guys who provided us with some 16mm film. I am contemplating putting in some of these slides as well once they get here. I am told there are some nice shots of the High Line in 1965, from across the Canyon, and from down below looking up as well freights in 1964/65.
Any ideas, besides shooting them off the wall?

PS About 10 years ago when I was editing at the big production studios, they used a device on the front of the camera lens, and used a $30K camera to put about 30 slides of Cuba Steam on Betacam SP for us. Problem was it cost $100.00! Now if I could buy that device it might be worth it, but not sure what it is.
