Edaville USA has been open since Labor Day. A diesel train ran on weekends in September, then two diesel trains ran the first two weekends in October for the National Cranberry Festival.
Edaville has been closed since October 11 (except for a Halloween event that did not involve the train) so the crews can set things up for the annual Holiday Festival of Lights, which begins on Thursday, November 11.
The schedule is as follows:
Thursday - Sunday, Nov. 11-14, Thursday - Sunday, Nov. 18-21, Wednesday, Nov. 24, then daily from Friday, Nov. 26 through Sunday, January 2, 2005. (Closed Christmas Day)
Hours are 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
First train leaves approximately one hour after opening time and last train leaves approximately one hour prior to closing time.
It is expected that the steam locomotive, Hudswell-Clarke 0-6-0 #21, the "Anne Elizabeth", will operate sporadically throughout the Holiday Festival of Lights, but the exact schedule has not been determined. Usually weekend crowds necessitate its use. (By the way, the nickname "Crudswell" is a term of endearment.)
