Last Trip over the orginal ROW *LINK*

I just got this in my in-box. Since it is proported to be Steam-powered, I would imagine that the Hudswell is operational - or will be for the Christmas Festival of Lights.
Sad to see the ROW being claimed for houses.
At least the operation will continue, albeit with a somewhat shorter ride.

JAN. 2, 2005 MASS BAY RRE sponsors a STEAM-POWERED PHOTO SPECIAL during the
last day of operation of about 1 mile of the original (1947) two-foot-gauge
route of the Edaville Railroad through the South Carver, MA cranberry bogs. A
new housing development will soon remove the EDA track over "Mt. Urann" and
rebuild it closer to the Atwood Reservoir. Leave Edaville depot, off Rt. 58 in
South Carver, 10:30 AM, return 1:30 PM -- with up to 12 photo stops! Fare $27
(MC/Visa accepted). Van or rail connections available from Boston, extra fare.
