When Getman and I inventoried the Chama Yard in March of 1982 when Scenic bowed out and Kyle came in, we found they actually had several cars in Chama. I remember a boxcar, a flat, a dump gon and perhaps a stock car.
The story I heard was the group disbanded. Title to the cars was conveyed to a junior member, who maintained the storage charges with his paper route. Eventually he scaped up enough to get them out of Chama, or something like that. Well, it makes a good story anyway............
