Yup and the Fall Affair was just a few weekends ago.....but then that's the Corvair parts business and a whole nuther story. I've always been impressed how many Corvair people are also railroad people.
Jack Holst, Ken Schmeltzer, Bob Murphy, Alex Ceres and Vern Vasey all had Corvairs at one time or another....Phil Schnell had a Corvair powered VW - in fact I first met him about 20 years before TimberTimes in that manner. Oh yeah and Darius Kinsey had Frankins - not rear engined but air cooled.....
But as to JB - You are absolutly correct. I told Taylor more than once that the weather and the whole experience was "what it was". We were in Sumpter, on the Sumpter Valley Railway at the end of October. Not at Disneyland. The experience was real - in almost every way. And priceless as well. Lon
