The Silverton Power Plant was located just south of the one public storage unit where Brian Fullmer has his construction outfit just as the 12th St. tracks curve up into town. There is a brand new fire plug there and a few bricks to the right of the new street facing east. This was served by a siding that was torn up back in the 50s when the line was routed up 12th St instead of crossing Cement Creek. There was an ore loading dock at this location for a long time that was finally burned by the fire department maybe 15 years ago--I photographed that event, but can't recall the year.
All that dirt came from the lowering of Greene Street last year and has been camping out partially on railroad property-the town still hasn't figured out where the railroad's property line is.
