Also, make sure to visit the beautiful Amtrak station in Kirkwood and compare it to the Downtown St. Louis station which is around the corner from Union Station. Contact Union Station directly and you can take a guided tour of Union Station. The number is 314/421-6655. Make sure you see the Railroad Baron's Private Dining Room. It is awesome! They can also get you in touch with a private company that takes train rides with dinner FROM Union Station (expensive, but I've heard very nice).
