Last Chance to ride the McCloud Steam

For those that don't know, out here in the west is/was a wonderful, although standard gauge, shortline "logging" railroad that was still running, even has a switchback on her mainline. Now the railroad is up for sale, the steam program seems to be gone too, for the 18, a loco original to the McCloud, is up for seperate sale. Oct 10 and 17 are the last runs scheduled, for details www.shastasunset.com
Due to the high cost of steel, I am supposing the possiblity exists that the railroad may be purchased by a scrapper (supposition entirely on my part) so this MAY be the last run from McCloud to Burney. We're on board on the 10th, hate to have to say goodby to an old friend (I grew up in the area).
Steamcerely,
David D.
PS No word on the 25, which never left the McCloud rails, and is presently in the shop needing flues and ??
