I haven't been there since the early 60's, but assuming the road hasn't moved (a big assumption for 45 years).....as I remember it the road followed the river below the railroad. Then the road crossed the river and climbed out of the canyon and crossed the railroad at grade. If my memory isn't totally out of whack (another big assumption) the trestle was maybe 100 yards from the road crossing, along the right of way back toward Tuolumne.
