A little information on the locomotive.
Austrian Narrow Gauge Class U.
Built by Krauss in Linz Austria in 1890. Ran on the Mori-Arco-Riva tramway out of Riva Italy up until World War one. Then it went to Poland, and was run by Polish railways, but was owned by the German Army. By this time the other 3 locomotives just like it had been scrapped.
During World War two and until 1967 it was used in Yugoslavia, working on various industrial lines.
Given to the Omaha Zoo railroad in 1968, soon after they had realized the Crown 4-4-0 was not powerful enough to do what they wanted it to do. It sat outside the UP's Omaha Shops for 2 or 3 years before being converted to air and to burn oil.
Only Class U in the country.
