Re: Slim Gauge News

The Slim Gauge News was started by Ron Snyder and Jerry Hoffer to be an SN3 magazine. After I met them, I convinced them to make it a magazine for Hon3 and On3 as well. I wrote the first Hon3 review in the magazine of a RRobb Hon3 wheel and tie car. I later wrote the history of D&RGW Work Cars OA-OZ for the magazine. Jerry Hoffer printed it in his basement on an old press he acquired. He sold the magazine to Fine Lines editor Bob Brown which combined them and renamed it the Narrow Gauge and Short Line Gazette which is still published today of course. I had invested a small amount of $$$ to produce the magazine and got some from Jerry Hoffer when he sold it.
