This shot is from the early days of SVRR. We see the WH Eccles #3 in charge of a ballast train. Note the track location in this shot. This was the west wye leg as originally constructed by SVRR. It was truncated years ago as just a storage spur at the end to the right of the scene, so the larger wye could be built that we use today. The east leg of the present wye connects with the main just this side of the water tower with the west leg a good distance on up the line in order to achieve a curvature that #19 can easily negotiate.
