In the ross-crain .com website included in the reply to JB Bane’s original post requesting photo ID help there are terms used timed- freight and way freight on the D&SP (and other railroads I suppose).
What is the definition of way freight and timed-freight ? What would cause a slower delivery of freight items using the same track?
