Bob,
The Rico engine house was long gone by the 1980's. On my first visit to Rico in 1976 the pits and rails were still there but the rest of the building was gone.
I believe the R.G.S. story has the date the engine house was taken down. I don't have the book with me right now but I think it was in the late 50's or early 60's. If no one else comes up with the correct answer, I will check my book when I get off work and post it here tomorrow.
