Really good stuff. I have always wondered what it was like in the cabs during that kind of weather, with a hot firebox in front of your and wind whipped frreezing air right behind you with only the curtains for protection. Clearly the heat from the boiler could only do so much, given the way snow would pile up around the engine and wheels would freeze to the rail. Tough working conditions for man and machine, but certainly provided great photo ops for those willing to brave the cold. Thanks for the pix.
