I'm curious about the prototype. Explain why you think this is a scale issue? Do you mean it was built to a European scale and not to the US HO 1:87?
Interesting thought but the seller noted that it was scratch built by a well known modeler in New Mexico. I'm far more inclined to think it was standard gauge car rather than European G scale.
