Well, the answer depends on the device you want to upload from. On most PCs one way to do that is look at the file "Properties", If you are using Windows here is an explanation: [
www.makeuseof.com]
Another option is to upload your image file to a website that will tell you its size and also allow you to shrink the image (if you want to), such as this page: [
www.wix.com]
A different approach is to upload your photo to a 3rd party photo host and link that image in your post here at NGDF. Examples of photo hosts include Flickr, Imgur etc. One I like and use is
PostImages.org.
If you upload to PostImages, once the upload has finished, choose "Share", then copy the string of characters at the the option called "Direct link". (You can use the button to the right of the link.) Then compose your message at NGDF, and click the "Insert Image URL" button, then paste into the box the link you copied at PostImages.
Send me a PM if you need more assistance. Click the "PM" button next to a NGDF "Member ID" to compose a PM.
You may find it useful to click the "Preview" button whyen you are composing a message at NGDF, Generally, it should show you what your post will look like to others, and allow you to edit the message before actually posting the message. Under some circumstances, with images, click the Preview button a second time if your image isn't visible after the first Preview click.
