At first glance it appears the location is the same in both photos. However, the second photo shows a large hill in the background. My guess on the location of the first photo is on the east side of upper Los Pinos valley, maybe in the vicinity of MP 323. The second appears to be just before the Apache crossing road. The hill in the background is at 37.010271°N, -106.408824°W. How are my guesses??
