Yes, that is a coal bunker. Another observation: In the 1948 photo, No. 81 still has the tender from S.V. Ry. #50, rather than a 190-class Tender. I had thought that the 190-class tenders had been put behind ##80 and 81 in 1947. Based on the photo, apparently not. 1950's photos show a 190-class tender behind No. 81. So, roughly 1949 was when the ##80 and 81 got the 190-class tenders.
