It Happened On The White Pass by J.D. True (1994), at page 55, says that this accident occurred "at 30 Mile." This would put it about 2.3 miles north of Fraser station.

I also see that No. 81 had an oil bunker in the photos (1948). Nineteen forty-eight was earlier than I previously thought for 81's conversion to oil. As of January 1, 1951, the equipment list shows only 70, 81, and 192 as oil burners. The rest were still coal as of that date.
