It has changed every year but currently “Track 6” has the older cars. I will say that I appreciate their historical value but they are a pain for the crew to walk through because the aisles are smaller. Lift cars are placed I believe as the 6th and 9th positions for each consist. I don’t have any of my paperwork from this last summer but consists are assigned based on demand by the passenger department and each consist varies in seats from something like 500-680 off the top of my head.
