Re: D&RGW caboose #0576 restoration

I was just down looking at the 0576. The roof is now on the cupola, and the EPDM roof covering is now fitted to all three roof sections. Loren was down there today working and considering there is no heat and we had -15 last night, it may be time to take a break. We are trying to make the caboose as weather tight as possible considering it will be on display with no roof covering it or protection. I sort of joked that since they will have a restored caboose, the folks of Salida will next want a boxcar, and then some track, and then a locomotive, and pretty soon they will have their sights on the mountains.
